UP24 for Android

By Michael S • March 16, 2014 • News

For months, i’ve been using my iOS device to sync my Jawbone UP24 fitness band and concurrently carrying my Google Nexus 5 smartphone as my main communication device. Inconvenience is an understatement.

About a week ago, Jawbone released the UP version 3.0 app which allows Android devices to sync with the UP24 fitness band. Rejoice!

Syncing is a breeze and everything has been working fine thus far. The UP 3.0 app looks identical to the previous version. Only difference is the background syncing of UP 24 with the app. It’s great to get ready for work and check out my sleep scores and also insights for the day.

Scrolling down from the main dashboard brings up the “Recent Activities” screen where the day’s main activities are summarised.

Entries in the UP Coffee app is automatically displayed on the Android UP 3.0 app. The Insights cards is something i follow daily. Something to learn everyday.

There’s also support for the UP coffee app. Because i use my iOS devices for app testing, i also use the UP Coffee app to clock my daily caffeine intake. I was pleasantly surprised to notice that my entry in the UP Coffee app was automatically displayed in the UP 3.0 app on my Android device. Is this a sign that the UP Coffee app may make its entry into Play Store soon? I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
