Runtastic Moment -Stylish Fitness Wearable

By Michael S • September 5, 2015 • News

Moments is the newest line of stylish fitness wearables from Runtastic that combines the functionality of a standard watch with a fitness tracker. While Runtastic is not the first to this target this area of the market, Withings was first with its Activite series of fitness wearables, the company is releasing a total of  ten unique designs under four main collections ensuring there’s a Runtastic Moment for everyone.

Besides 24/7 activity tracking, a small indicator on the face of the Moments watch serves to tell your progress towards your daily goals. (Example 12k steps) Vibrations and a LED light behind the “9” on the watch face serves to keep you in the know and on track. There’s no word if there both LED or vibration will serve to provide smart notifications but I won’t be surprised if it does since the Runtastic Orbit received smart notifications a month back. I’ll update once I get more information from Runtastic.

The Runtastic Moment series of watches run on a standard watch battery that ensures up to 6 months of battery life without the need for charging or charging cables. The watches are priced at 2 different tiers with the main differing factor being make material other than aesthetics.

The Elite and Classic series are priced at $179.99 and offers stainless steel cases with leather straps. The more competitively priced Fun and Basic series are priced at $129.99 and boasts aluminum cases make with silicon straps. All Runtastic Moment watches are water resistant to 100m.

List of features:

  • Track steps, distance, active minutes, calories burned, sleep cycles and goals.
  • Monitor daily progress directly on the watch face via the Progress Indicator
  • Vibration alert for alarm and inactivity
  • Waterproof up to 300 feet
  • Up 6 month battery life
  • Wireless syncing through Bluetooth 4.0
  • Data synced to Runtastic Me app, available on both Google Play Store and App Store.

The Runtastic Moment will ship from late September 2015 onwards. You can read more here.
