Polar V800 gets Smart Notifications for Android

By Michael S • October 6, 2015 • News

When it comes to mobile app improvements and updates, Android users normally receive features way later then users on the iOS platform. But late doesn’t mean never. Polar’s flagship V800 now supports smart notifications from Android devices. That means the Polar V800 can now stay connected to the Android smart phone devices and allow users to preview text messages, social media feed, calender reminders and emails right from their wrists.

To access this new update, you’ll have to sync the Polar V800 via Polar Flow mobile app. Users can then select which mobile apps they want to receive notifications from. Once included, the Polar V800 will vibrate whenever a notification is received.

The Polar V800 is the flagship multi-sport watch designed for the most demanding athletes. A recent open water swim metrics update allows the Polar V800 to capture and provide data on distance swam, pace, strokes, heart rate i open water. Now that is hardcore.

The Polar V800 is readily available at Polar.com and most major online retailers. You can get your the Polar V800 from Amazon.com where there’s usually a small discount and free delivery depending on where you reside. Also, your purchase helps to fund the running of this site!
