While most activity trackers reign supreme on land, very few with the exception of dedicated pool trackers like Garmin Swim, are of any use in water. Speedo Shine, a collaboration between Misfit Wearables and Speedo, aims to be the complete activity tracker that measures both land and pool based activities.
For starters, swim laps and distance will be accurately measured, taking the guesswork out of pool based work outs. The Speedo Shine will also track walking, running, cycling, and light and deep sleep. Every Speedo Shine is etched with the Speedo logo on the back.
The Speedo Shine is endorsed by Olympic Gold medalist Missy Franklin. In her words “With the Speedo Shine, you can focus on getting the most out of your water workout and it’s also a great looking accessory to wear.”
The new Speedo Shine will sync with the Misfit app on both iOS and Android. The device will soon also work with Speedo’s personalized swim tracking app, Speedo Fit.
