Misfit Flash Link App and Wearable

By Michael S • July 17, 2015 • News

Misfit Wearables released its Misfit Link app today, promising to make the Misfit Flash tracker even more powerful when it comes to connecting with the world around you.

By syncing the Misfit Flash activity tracker to the Misfit Link app, users can now use the tracker device to take a selfies with the phone camera app or Snapchat; control  music with Spotify, Pandora, Soundcloud, iTunes or Apple Music; or advance slides in a presentation through the Preso app.

According to Misfit’s official blog the Misfit Link app is currently available on the iOS platform with the Android version to follow in about a month.

With the release of the Misfit Link app, the original Flash tracker is re-released as the Misfit Flash Link. This is essentially the Misfit Flash activity tracker without a wrist strap at a respectable $19.99. As of publication, there were only 4 colours available in the Misfit Flash Link series.

While internet of things has made the brewing of a pot of coffee possible upon waking, I’d rather have help when I’m struggling with a selfie or wowing the crowd with seamless control of presentation slides on smart devices. Misfit has definitely got it right by beefing up the potential of its line of tracking devices to involve functions people activity engage in on a daily basis.

If you’re interested, Misfit Wearables has reduced the prices across its link of trackers. The flagship Shine which first introduced Misfit Wearbles to the world is going for $69.99. The Misfit Flash and Flash Link are going for $29.99 and $19.99 respectively. This is as close as you can get to a pseudo smart device remote and an activity tracker rolled into one.
