It’s barely past January and another company has pushed their own version of activity tracker with some form of smartphone notification thrown in. Lenovo announced the VIBE Band VB10 at CES 2015. Rumoured to be priced at a manageable $89, the VIBE Band VB10 features e-ink display, activity tracking and the capability to display smartphone notifications.
Press photos seem to suggest a customisable screen display and varying colours of straps. Black and silver are the 2 official colours for the VIBE Band VB10 as of press.
List of features:
- Tracks steps, distance, calories burned, sleep.
- E-ink display
- Battery life of up to 7 days.
- Supports Android 4.3 and above, iOS mobile devices
- IPx7 rating
The VIBE Band VB10 syncs wirelessly via Bluetooth 4.0. It has 2 other special features; proximity reminder that’s activated if phone is placed too far away from the VIBE Band VB10, and activation of ringtone through the phone finder feature at the push of a button. Both features should help the forgetful to keep their mobile devices by their side.
We can expect to see more trackers masquerading as pseudo smart-watches in the months ahead.
