Get $30 off the Mio Alpha 2 Watch (Expired)

By Michael S • October 6, 2015 • Promotions

If you’ve been sitting on the sideline mulling over which fitness tracker to buy, here’s another to consider. For a limited time only, Mio Global is taking $30 off the Mio Alpha 2 heart rate watch. Yep you heard me right.

Read GadFit’s review of the Mio Alpha 2

I reviewed the Mio Alpha 2 back in February of 2015 and gave it high marks in terms of functions as a dependable piece of training equipment. Not only does it feature EKG accurate heart rate monitoring from the wrist, it is also able to transmit the HR data via Bluetooth to 3rd party apps. The extra large display ensures clear visibility in the toughest training conditions.

Though it’s not GPS enabled, the Mio Alpha 2 features pace, speed and distance calculation without the need to be connected to a smartphone. During my review, I took the Mio Alpha 2 for a 1.2km run round a stadium track and it was near spot on with an estimated distance of 1.24km; definitely an acceptable margin of error.

List of features:

  • Wrist worn EKG accurate heart rate monitor
  • Tracks distance, pace, speed and calories
  • Configurable heart rate zones with LED indications
  • Wireless connection via Bluetooth 4.0 to compatible smartphone and fitness apps
  • Memory holds up to 25 hours of data
  • Water resistant to 30m
  • Battery life of 20-24 hours with heart rate monitoring turned on. Up to 3 months without heart rate monitoring.
  • Customisable display items with easy-to-activate back-light
  • Beep notification
  • Compatible with select Android and iOS devices

The Mio Alpha 2 is available in Black, Yellow or Punch. You can get your the Mio Alpha 2 from Amazon.com where the same price reduction is listed and there’s even free delivery depending on where you reside. Also, your purchase helps to fund the running of this site!
