Garmin Vivoactive

By Michael S • April 9, 2015 • News

The line between activity trackers and smart watches is progressively blurring. Just beginning of 2014, we had dedicated activity trackers such as Garmin Vivofit, Polar Loop, Nike Fuelband and Jawbone UP 24 slugging it out for the title of the most coveted wrist worn activity tracker. Today we have activity trackers like Basis Peak, Microsoft Band that pack smartphone notifications with activity tracking. Recently Garmin released their own version of an activity smart watch with GPS in the form of the Garmin Vivoactive.

The ultra light weight and slim profile Garmin Vivoactive comes packed with smart phone notifications, GPS, a commendable battery life and water resistance. Smart phone notifications ensure the user is connected with family, friends and pressing work matters.

Garmin also launched a new Connect IQ store that allows to easily customize the vívoactive with free watch face designs, widgets and additional apps.

Vívoactive features a sunlight-readable, high-resolution color touchscreen and can be accessorized with interchangeable bands to complement any outfit or occasion.

List of features:

  • Tracks steps, sleep patterns, trends
  • Smart phone notifications
  • Coloured touch screen display
  • Customisable watch face
  • GPS enabled
  • Inactivity notification
  • Vibration enabled
  • Interchangeable watch bands
  • 3 weeks battery life for all day wear. 10 hours in GPS tracking mode.
  • Pairs with compatible heart rate monitors
  • Water resistant

Coupled with the Garmin Connect app, users will be able to see their trend, compete with friends and gain achievement badges.

The Vivoactive is currently on sale at the RRP of $249.99.
