Amiigo Fitness Tracker Update.

By Michael S • April 13, 2014 • News

Another update about the Amiigo fitness tracker. The stats presentation for sleep and steps count has been revealed.

Let’s take a closer look at the tracked sleep data. Time to bed and time slept is indicated. I’m assuming there’s some sort of auto detection because from personal experience, it’s near impossible to commence tracking the moment i fall asleep. I like it that there’s average heart rate indicated; one of the main reasons why I wear the Basis Band to sleep every night. Sleep quality by grade is a first. If the quality is dictated by Amiigo’s algorithm, I’ll be curious to read more in depth with regard to the research behind sleep quality grading.

The step count presentation looks similar to what most major fitness trackers offer in their mobile apps interface. The unique feature here could be the average heart rate again.

Amiigo was the new kid on the block with huge potential. Time and again, production and manufacturing delays has postponed the scheduled delivery date. The recent spate of updates seem like a knee jerk to the multitude of fitness trackers and smart watches about to flood the market.

Will Amiigo finally deliver? Only time will tell.
