If you didn’t manage to snag a Razer Nabu a while back, you can look forward to the new, and cheaper, Nabu X. Priced at $49.99, the Nabu X is packed with near identical functions to the Razer Nabu sans the screen. The tracker module can be detached from the wrist band which comes in white/gold or black/green.
The Nabu X provides notifications from compatible smartphone devices through vibration. So you won’t miss any incoming alerts. Like its predecessor the Razer Nabu, the Nabu X allows contacts to be exchanged via a high-five with fellow Nabu tracker wearers.
List of features:
- Tracks steps, distance, calories burned, sleep, active minutes and goal setting.
- Discreet notifications via 3 LEDs and vibration
- Band to band communication
- Smart gestures
- 5-7 days battery life. 30 days on standby
- water resistant to 1m.
All that at half the price of the original Razer Nabu.
The focus on social integration seem to take the shine off the fitness tracking aspect. While it’s great there’s vibration motor, competitive pricing and decent battery life, it remains to be seen how accurate this device will be with its tracking algorithm and smart gestures.
