Garmin Vivofit 2

By Michael S • January 11, 2015 • News

Garmin announced the Vivofit 2 and the Style collection about a week back at CES 2015. The original Vivofit was an excellent activity tracker in its own class but it lacked in certain areas like visibility in the night. The new Vivofit 2 comes back with a revenge and scores where its predecessors didn’t. Read on.

On top of the inactivity alert line first seen in the original Vivofit, the Vivofit 2 throws in audio alert on top of the visible red line across the screen. It’s a smart move by Garmin to employ use of audible alerts as vibration motors will sap the battery life in no time.

The Vivofit 2 is available in Blue, Pink, Black and White.

A newly added back light allows the Vivofit 2 to be seen in the dark, something the original Vivofit fell short on. Another improvement is the option to accessorise the Vivofit 2 strap.

“Style Collection includes chic and classic looks from the Signature Series made from premium materials, such as leather and stainless steel.”

Coupled with the Garmin Connect Mobile app that has seen improvements with every update, the Garmin Vivofit 2 is certainly a formidable fitness tracker to accompany you in 2015.

The Garmin Vivofit 2 will be available in black, white, navy and pink and ships in Q1 at the RRP of $129.99 or $169.99 with heart rate monitor bundle.
